One of the tiny group of cane rob builders who ran the R.L. Winston Rod Co. bamboo shop, he later launched Sweetgrass Rods with co-founder Glenn Bracket in Twin Bridges, MT. Jerry is also the talented author of many books, including At the River’s Edge, A Wisp in the Wind, Around the Next Bend, A Fly Angler’s Journey, Holy Water, and Fly Fishing for Great Lakes Steelhead. Author, devoted environmentalist, bamboo rod designer, and dedicated angler, he spends much time on the road as a fly fishing ambassador representing the ideals for which serious fly anglers stand.
