Volunteer OpportunitiesBy River SteensonHi everyone, I wanted to let you know that we have two events coming up that we're requesting Trout Unlimited volunteer help with. We've partnered with the Sandy River Watershed Council and we're helping them with planting after their recent restoration project. Our Clackamas River Trout Unlimited chapter received a $2,500 Embrace A Stream grant from the national Trout Unlimited group, which we were able to increase to roughly $3,500 with additional matching funds. With those funds, we have purchased a number of native plants and need TU volunteers to help set them in place. Below are the event information and additional details. Please register through one or both of the links below depending on if you can attend on October 10th or the 24th. The link for the Facebook event has similar information. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. Thanks so much and I look forward to seeing you out there soon! https://sandyriver.org/get-involved-calendar/sandy-salmon-community-planting-day/ https://sandyriver.org/get-involved-calendar/sandy-salmon-community-planting-day-2/ https://www.facebook.com/events/1058861327903565 From the Sandy River Watershed Council:"Come join Trout Unlimited and the Sandy River Watershed Council for a morning of planting native trees and shrubs to benefit migrating salmon habitat. We’ll be continuing the reforestation of the Sandy-Salmon habitat restoration site, located 11 miles from Sandy, Oregon. Two opportunities to join:Saturday, October 10th, 9am-12pmSaturday, October 24th, 9am-12pmLocation: Barlow Wayside Park, 60605 E.
