Yakima River Headwaters Chapter September Meeting

Join us for our monthly meeting to learn more about the strategic goals for 2016, join/form a committee, and meet other members of the Chapter.

Here's our plan for 2016 - engage local youth and develop programs to inspire the next generation of conservation leaders, increase our knowledge of "angler science" through hands-on projects, and a focus on the Teanaway watershed as a key tributary for wild fish species and recreation opportunities.

See you there!

Meeting Notes - small attendance tonight, but we made big progress. Members created a work plan for the three focus areas in 2016 (Youth, Angler Science, and the Teanaway River) and will share those details/ideas at the October meeting.

Volunteer Leadership Opportunities - Membership Development Chair, Outreach/Education Chair. These roles will require attendance at regular Chapter meetings and social/projects. Highly visible and task-focused, willing to drive committee work and work to achieve strategic and tactical goals for the Chapter. Ideally, candidates will be from the Kittitas Valley, but all interested parties are asked to identify.

These individuals will join the larger Board and be involved in shaping the culture of the Chapter and engaging the grassroots membership in growing and diversifying our membership population(s), both in involvement and knowledge about conservation issues in the watershed.

On behalf of the Board,

Derek
