He has a BS in Fish and Wildlife Management from Michigan State University and a MS in Wildlife Science from New Mexico State University. Since 1996 Mike has worked in eastern Washington and held wildlife biologists positions with the Yakima Training Center, the Yakama Nation, and WDFW. In 2012, he was promoted to his current position as WDFW’s Region 3 Director where he oversees operations in the region and gets to work on several large scale conservation efforts including the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan. When not working, you can find him outside with friends and family fishing, hunting or hiking. Mike will be discussing WDFW’s budget proposal for the 2019-2021 legislative session and how it is connected to the services his agency provides in the region including the hatchery trout program. He will be joined by Rachel Voss from the Mule Deer Foundation. Rachel sits on WDFW’s Budget and Policy Working Group. This will be a great program don't miss it!
