And that trout in your net, you may have noticed its adipose fin clipped, or the colored dye near the left eye. These are all part of the Swift River trout study the state is conducting. Adam Kautza and Brian Keleher of MA Fish & Wildlife will explain this program, its purpose, its methods, and some of the findings. Come with any questions you have about this study. Come to learn what science teaches us about the trout and the river we love. Adam Kautza is the state Coldwater Fisheries Project Leader. Brian Keleher is the Connecticut Valley District Fisheries Biologist.
