Bass vs. Trout

Can there be any argument about which fish is beautiful?! The small mouth bass was caught in the Chicopee River last week on Wadsworth Shad Fly while fly fishing for shad; the brookie caught in the Swift River this morning on a Y2K. At this size, the trout out-fought the bass.

Watersnake vs. Brook Trout

Tuesday afternoon, August 16, I went out to fish the Swift.  It was a beautiful afternoon, mostly overcast and humid, but water in the high 50s made for comfortable conditions.
