On Wednesday September 14th at 7:00pm the Pioneer Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be holding a special meeting open to the public that will offer two wonderful opportunities: the opportunity to see a very informative presentation on our beloved Swift River, as well as a chance to win an Orvis Superfine model fly rod, a custom wood fly box (engraved with the Quabbin Reservoir watershed), and a free one-year membership to Trout Unlimited. This meeting will be held at the Abandoned Building Brewery, located at 142 Pleasant Street, #103a, Easthampton, MA, 01027. What a great opportunity to enjoy the company of fellow anglers and conservationists in a casual atmosphere, win a premium fly rod or fly box (all raffle tickets will be sold that evening with winners announced at the end of the presentation!), while learning about exciting brook trout research on a river near and dear to us in Western Massachusetts. For non-Trout Unlimited members there will be a special drawing for a chance to win one of six free one-year TU memberships! The featured speakers will be Brian Keleher and Adam Kautza, two MassWildlife, Coldwater fisheries scientists, who will educate us on a new brook trout pit tag study on the Swift River that MassWildlife will conduct with assistance provided by our Pioneer Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited. You do not need to be a Trout Unlimited member to attend this presentation or win the raffle. So, mark it in your calendar - and bring a friend! Who's attending this event?
