This stream is the boundary between Wisconsin and Michigan in Iron County. It flows between the cities of Ironwood and Hurley. The target area was between the Norrie Spillway and U.S. Highway 2 bridge. I volunteered on behalf of the Wild Rivers Chapter and we removed 1,440 pounds of garbage; 73 tires weighing 2,020 pounds and 1,180 pounds of scrap metal. The clean-up was funded by the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. The effort was coordinated by the Ottawa U.S. Forest Service with help from the Ironwood Parks and Recreation Committee and the Iron County Land and Water Conservation Department.
