Monthly Meeting

On March 13th the Pioneer Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited is excited to host Bill Pastuszek who will be presenting on the Trout Unlimited Strategic Plan.

Bill started with Trout Unlimited when he and his wife Ellen participated in water sample collection for the UMass Acid Rain Study. He served on the Board of the Greater Boston Chapter of Trout Unlimited and was chapter president from 2016-2019. During his term, the Chapter adopted the Neponset River as GBTU's home waters. He later became a board member of the Neponset River Watershed Association.

Prior to the pandemic, Bill and Ellen moved out to Western Massachusetts after many years of living close to Boston. Both are active in the Deerfield River Watershed Trout Unlimited Chapter and with the Franklin Land Trust.

Bill is the current representative for Massachusetts on TU's National Leadership Council. He heads the Council's Land Conservancy Work Group which helps To develop land trust collaborations.

As further enticement, we'll be raffling off a chance to win some nifty items and other great prizes at this meeting. More on this to come.

Our meetings start at 7:00 (but a lot of us show up early to chat and have a fine brew beforehand). If you like finely crafted cold beer and want to learn more about what's happening with our cold-water fisheries, you'll want to attend this meeting. You do not need to be a Trout Unlimited member to attend this presentation or win the raffle.

Parking for the meeting is behind the long row of factories on Pleasant Street. Access the parking lot via the American Legion Post 224 entrance on Pleasant Street. Drive past the American Legion parking area, turn right, and go to the middle of the factory row. You will see the Abandoned Building Brewery entrance. https://www.abandonedbuildingbrewery.com/
